The 2016-2017 school year has come to a close. We had a very exciting end to the school year. We had the chance to have the graduating seniors walk through the elementary school. Graduates got to see past teachers and our students got to congratulate the seniors on their achievement. We look forward to continuing this tradition.
We held end of the year awards ceremonies for 1st and 2nd grade, and our first ever 3rd grade moving up ceremony. We had over 300 parents and family members attend our 3rd grade moving up ceremony. It was a fantastic way to honor these young students as they move onto the next step of their education. We wish them all the best at the Intermediate School!
I'd like to wish all of our students and families an enjoyable, exciting, adventurous, and relaxing summer. Make sure to take time to play outside, spend time with friends and family, and of course read! Stop by the school to check out books from the library. Research shows that students who read 15 minutes per day over the summer are able to maintain their reading skills.
I look forward to sharing information about the start of our 2017-2018 school year very soon. We have lots of exciting plans to continue to push our students to be their very best in both academics and social-emotional learning.
